Hi,
I'm Sebastiaan Heidt and I'm the drummer of the band Balderdash. I also take care of all the vocal harmonies together with Thomas. I'm into making music quite a long time now. When I was at the age of twelve, my father all of the sudden bought a second-hand drumkit. My brother Jeroen was playing bass for a few months at that time, so it was quite fun to play together. Not very long afterwards I decided to take lessons and I ended up with Frank Schermervoest (try to pronounce that name!!!), a real jazzdrummer who taught me a lot. When Frank moved to a different town I had some lessons from Raspers-drummer Paul Rijenga and the hardcore-deathmetaldrummer Frank Brama (Creepmime). In the meantime, I had been the drummer of many bands and in many projects. For a while now, I've been interested in doing studio-work, and therefore I'm very often in our home-studio.
Because drumming at night is not the way to get happy neighbours, I started to play some guitar, something quite useful when I'm all alone in the studio.
Since juli 2003, I am working as a PhD student at the department of Immunology and Blood Transfusion in Leiden. Here I hope to find some exciting new aspects of immunology.
